Tape & minamo / birds of a feather

This record mark the special friendship between these two groups, one from Sweden and one from Japan. It all started by an invitation in 2002 for Tape to perform in Japan from Cubic Music, the label that Minamo run. The tour happened the following year and the contact has since then been ongoing between these kindred spirits. Keiichi has been in Sweden with his soloproject Fourcolor and last year, sparked from an idea by japanese label HEADZ, Tape and Minamo performed together in Tokyo as a septet and went into the studio shortly after to record what became Bird of a feather. The music on this cd is a real collaborative effort. All the seven persons has put their individual mark on it. Two quite distinct group sounds meet and a third, new one, is created.
